Michael established Orbis Labsystems in 1998 with the goal of providing integrated LIMS solutions to Food, Beverages, Pharma and Government industries. Today, Orbis Labsystems is established in Europe and the Americas providing LIMS, Instrument Integration, Reporting and Data Analytics services to over 50 customers. The organization is a strategic partner with Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Russell MacKenzie is a Coca-Cola Alumnus with 30 years of experience in Informatics solutions related to both Beverage and Ingredient quality. He held the position of Director of Global Lab Informatics supporting Coca-Cola's Center of Excellence Analytical Services Laboratories which provided analytical support to the entire supply chain. After graduating from Coca-Cola, Russell joined Orbis Labsystems as a Senior Consultant and has been working with global Pharma industry customers. Through Orbis Labsystems, partner of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Russell works directly with Thermo Scientific™ SampleManager LIMS™ software projects.

Maria has more than a decade of experience in journalism, marketing, and communications within the publishing, conferences and medical device industry. She has authored more than 250 articles that have appeared in domestic and international industry publications and has moderated educational sessions and panel discussions at industry events. Maria joins Innovative Publishing from Secant Medical, Inc., where she was the Marketing Communications Manager and Market Research Manager. Maria has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in New Media and Visual Design, and a Minor in Fine Arts, from St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT.
