Over the last 6 years, Jonathan Cachat, PhD has been professionally engaged in the cannabis industry – overseeing cultivation research, processing, dispensary operations and patient consulting. His business approach is consumer-centric, data-driven, political-engaged and socially responsible. In Ohio, he was the founding director of Hocking College’s Cannabis Analytical Lab and now works as a consultant in the space. Cannabis Now journalist Jimi Devine referred to Dr. Cachat as “One of the brightest minds in cannabis…”. Dr. Cachat has a doctorate degree in Neuroscience, focusing on Psychopharmacology (drugs, brain behavior). He has published over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 2 books on the use of adult zebrafish in behavioral pharmacology research. He is a founding board member of the California Growers Association, Science, Standards & Labs committee chair for Sonoma County Growers Alliance, Sustainability committee member for California Cannabis Industry Association and a member of several regional NORML chapters. Most recently, CCV Research has joined the founders circle of the Resource Innovation Institute, a non-profit dedicated to developing sustainability standards and improving resource efficiency in cannabis cultivation. His political network and strategic business partnerships are formed with some of the most popular and successful entities in their respective fields. He is passionate about Informed Consumption – that patients should know what they are taking and how to take it for their aliment – and is currently working with influencers in the state to reduce out-of-pocket costs and improve access for Ohio patients.
